How does Ovranette work?

How to take Ovranette?

Ovranette comes in a strip of 21 pills, with each pill marked with the name of a weekday on the blister pack. Start taking the pills marked with the correct day. Follow the direction of the arrows marked on the strip and take the next pills accordingly.

Take the pills every day at the same time for the next 21 days.

After finishing the strip, there will be a pill-free week. You will have bleeding in these seven days like a regular menstrual period. Start the new pack on the 8^th day and again take the 21 tablets. Sometimes your bleeding may not be finished on during seven days of pill-free week, even then it is mandatory to start the new pack without any delay.

If you take all the pills regularly for 21 days, you will always start the new pack every time on the same day of the week.

If you are a new user to Ovranette take your first pill on the first day of your period and then complete the cycle of 21 tablets. By starting in this manner, you are straight away protected against pregnancy with your first pill.

Once you have taken seven pills in a row after the missed pill day, you are safe from unwanted pregnancy. Same is the case with missing more than one pills. Take the last missed pill leaving the previous ones and continue for seven days.

If the current pack is finished before completing seven tablets after a missed pill, start a new pack. Do not take seven days pill-free break and complete the next pack. You will have a pill-free week and menstrual bleed after completing the second pack.

Another way in which the contraception might be decreased is if you are sick due to diarrhoea or vomiting within 4 hours of taking the tablet. It may be due to reduced absorption of medicine in the gut. Take another pill once you feel stable and continue taking the other pills at regular time.
